Just took my 23 Laramie GT in for an oil change and tire rotation...found out the UBJ on my passenger side is almost toast. 14k miles on the truck. Not impressed, especially when I went to look at the reviews of a replacement. Mild annoyance went to absolute disappointment to see they have a...
A "relatively local" dealer has a Rebel X I was going to check out to hear the exhaust note... and although it does indicate it has the GT by the console shifter...there's not actually any indication on the sticker if it has the GT exhaust. Only the "GT Interior Theme". So you could get a GT...
as of the RamTrucks.com build configurator...the GT is no longer a Laramie option. Rebel only,
I'm not even heart broken, the benefits were good in the 23/24 but I cant imagine a very good exhaust note from the Hurricane, so you're basically looking at $3000 for the shifter.
This!
Another tragic shortcoming ... the X doesn't get the HO option. Just like the GT doesn't get the HO option.
Just tragic.
I have a 23 GT now and see no reason to get it in 25. Worse MPG and lack luster sound.
I get that the HO is the "New Hotness" but for the love of all things holy. What happened to offering a performance upgrade for the people that choose to do it.
Ford for example. If I want to buy an F150 XLT...I can CHOOSE a 2.7 Eco, a 3.5 Eco, 3.5 Power and 5.0.
Now I get it, they drop the...
I've got a 23 GT and have been kicking around the idea of a Whipple till I see that they don't have anything compatible with the 23 yet. (2019-2022 only) Seems like Ram dropped the ball by not offering the Laramie GT or the Rebel GT with a performance upgrade.
Then I come across a ProCharger...
I'm sorry I felt it would be OK to round up slightly for a $115,940 msrp
But that doesn't change a "Final Edition" parked next to it for $125,265 msrp
And for that much below, you could ship it anywhere you want and still be below sticker
I don't think that comment aged well...there are 2024 TRX's sitting on lots all over the country for well below sticker.
(It doesn't help they jacked the MSRP up to $120k + )
It's right at 8500 miles and don't get me wrong...I definitely drive it more aggressively because it absolutely sounds naughty. BUT...I'm not referring to City/Highway average. I'm talking road trip average.
100 mile trips to visit family down the interstate are common.
80 mph averaging 11...
I have and love my 23 Laramie GT...Console shifter, the sound...but damn. the MPG is disgusting.
I had a 19 Ram 1500 with 3.21 gears. Everyone said 35" rubber on 18" wheels would kill my MPG. Averaged 18.5mpg going 85mph to texas and back. (roughly 2000 miles) and was quite happy. I can...
I just had a customer trying to work this out today and we're exploring options. He's got a 23 Rebel 2500 with 12" screen, Aux 1 and Aux two.
Has the Tow Tech group as well as the 5th Wheel Prep pkg with the 12pin connection but NOT the Digital Rear View Mirror (which seems to be the best way...
exactly my point.
When you figure the size of the tank needed on the new RamCharger to get close to 700 miles of range....what's the point of making it hybrid when the v6 does it already.
In the midwest, I have ZERO interest in an EV that won't give me 500 miles MINIMUM in less than ideal...
When I first heard 600+ miles of range, I was excited.
Then when I saw it takes nearly 25gal of gas to charge the batter to get that kind of range. I'm SERIOUSLY underwhelmed.
