    Towing the new camper

I appreciate both you and Silver Billet's input. Started with 7 threads showing and weighed at 3400 front and 3600 back. which was about where I was with the recurve. Cranked it another 1/2 turn before we headed out and it towed well at 63-65 in 10mph winds. Not sure if it is the hitch, the...

    Towing the new camper

I was interested in his settings based on the what he went thru to get it dialed in. I dont plan on copying that , but 4 turns is alot different then 2 1/2" so understanding what others ended up with could be helpful. You are right on the distance of the frame brackets, etc but would assume...

    Towing the new camper

I did with the recurve wdh and had most of the front weight restored. The shimmy i felt happened above 58 mph which is why I replaced the tires with e-rated coopers. The TT is 28.5' long and loaded about 6600 lbs. The anderson hitch was bought because it was significantly lighter than the...

    Towing the new camper

Hey, great pics. I have had issues with the truck feeling like the back end is shimmying with the recurve r3 WDH and my TT with 800lb tongue weight. I have the timbrens which made it hard to dial in the recurve. I just upgraded to the cooper AT3 E rated tires (I think my tires were sidewall...

    Best speedometer recalibration tool

I did not have any issues with the rough country. My park assist sensors are still working. What stopped working on your truck?

    Best speedometer recalibration tool

I noticed rough country speedometer calibrator now officially supports the 2021 Ram 1500 with an updated software version. I had calibrated my 2021 BTS with the 2020 firmware and it has not had any issues. I want to update to the latest rough country software though. My question is, do I need to...

    2021 RAM 1500 Trailer Suggestions?

I am wondering why the hitch weight on a 5500 lbs trailer is listed at 515lbs. That's 9.3% which runs counter to the 10-15% rule. I suppose it may be the hitch weight without batteries and propane tanks.

    2021 RAM 1500 Trailer Suggestions?

We have been looking at TT the last month also. As a data point for others, my 2021 BTS (4WD, etorque, 5'7"box) has a payload capacity of 1495. With the possibility of in-laws joining us and a WD hitch, I figure we have about 800lbs available. I am looking at the Imagine 2250RK with a trifold...

    Best speedometer recalibration tool

If they dont hook up any diagnostic machine up to your truck or do any ecm updates you should be ok. I dont see why they would for an alignment but it may be part of their standard practice for a new truck under warranty. Rough Country does state in their instructions that " ANYTIME a...

    Best speedometer recalibration tool

I received the rough country speedometer calibration tool this morning from American Truck. They told me they would pay return shipping on it if it did not work on a 2021 5.7 e-torque Ram, so I ordered it and received it next day. I was able to plug it in on the far left side right behind the...

    Best speedometer recalibration tool

I think he was using the flashcal and not the roughcountry. I could be incorrect on that though but I should have been clearer that I am asking about the roughcountry calibration tool.

    Best speedometer recalibration tool

First time post here, but I have the same question as David. I have a 2021 BTS without park assist. I went from the Falken 32" to NItto 34"(Same weight as the original 32") and was hoping to calibrate the speedometer. My dealer said they did not have the updated software for 2021's yet. I...
