I've run into a small snag. I bought a new door harness; since I wanted to add both Passive Entry and Ambient Lighting. The connector on the new harness for the door lock is a 4 pin connector. Original is an 8. I can swap the wires/pins OK; but the original connector has an additional (5th)...
This is a great writeup. And, I really appreciate your research. I'm stuck here. I cannot identify Pin 1 and Pin 2 on this connector. Even using the datasheet; I'm not confident which is which. Also the leads on the new mirror don't correspond to any of the color combinations on the DCCTools...
I've received all 3 PNs to install ambient lighting in my front doors. I could not find a PN for the Fibre Optic "filament" (I guess it's called". The receiver in the light measures .0222". Between 5 and 6MM. Maybe 6MM will fit when the tabs on the receiver are opened a little. Think I will...
Well, I finally just charged into it. I had thought, incorrectly, that it goes in the top lid. Found out it goes into the second "lid".
Prettyeasy to unsnap the lower cover. The latches also hold the cover, so open the latch.
Remove and disconnect the dummy gray housing. How much did FCA...
I don't think so. According to Jimmy07, starting in 21, Canada required headlights and taillights constantly on (well, when truck is running). In my thinking, it's like that's hard coded in when Country Code is set to Canada. Can't be changed. (possibly cound be changed on 19 and 20 truckss)...
It's 2022. I may have the acronym wrong; but Daytime Tail Lights. I saw some settings in Alfa for DTL. I didn't look further into those settings yet.
While I like having the rear fog light icon in the cluster; I really don't want the DRLs. I may try another Country Code that allows Rear Fog...
Thanks for this info. I recently installed rear fog lights in my US truck. To make the rear fog light icon in the cluster work, I changed the Country Code to Canada. Icon works. But, now I have DRL and DTL. I changed CBC Features-DRL Lamp Location to None; CBD Features-DRL Configuration to...
I have Alfa OBD. Screenshot in above post.
I set
CBC Features -DRL Configuration to No DRL, and
CBC Features-DRL Lamp Location to None
and I still have Headlights on and Panel lamps in Night mode.
Just did. This morning, I discovered I have DRL. And, I guess because the headlights are on, the cluster (panel lamps?) lighting goes to night mode. Can override the panel lighting with the turn wheel in the brightest click.
I don't know how to turn DRL off; or if it can even be done...
Trying to add a light in my center console. I can't find the spot for it. Removed the bottom of the lid and see no indentation or cutout for it. Where is it located?
