In the process of swapping a leather dashboard into my truck, I discovered this cavity for a 3rd switch on the e-brake, adjustable pedals panel. Can't find any mention of it in the operator's manual. But, seems like it would be a cool switch to add. What's it for?
Don't think this is your issue; but in the original write up; there are 2 different PNs for the antenna. GUESSING there must be something significantly different between the 2 PNs--as I recall, $200 vs. $30. I used the cheap one. Mine have worked consistently since I installed the system...
My truck already had heated mirrors (I added only BSM and Autodim), so I'm not sure. There are 2 wires from the door module to the heat terminals on the mirror; so electrically I think that's all you'd need to add. Probably would need to flash the option to your truck; but the option may...
I think Saubs was saying that the WH/OR and WH/DG are not present in his bumper harness. They weren't present in my original bumper harness either. I had to buy a different bumper harness which contained these wires. Also, it sounded like he was planning to use a filament bulb. The OEM fog...
The left fog light feed is WH/OR, ground is BK, 0.75 gauge. The right fog light feed is WH/DG, ground is BK, 0.75 gauge. I don't know where these grounds finally terminate; but they should be available in your bumper harness. The connector you circled in blue is the bumper harness.
I finally got it working. Thanks to all the help I received on here.
Some of these things have been covered; but just a summary of my experience. My truck required the same PN for all 10 sensors. The two with a different PN, 5YV69TZZAA, called out Sensors 1 and 6, would not work on my truck...
With help from this thread, I got the front sensor bezels ordered and installed. Now, a new issue that I don't see any posts about. On the inner sensor in the fog light bezel, the sensor area is covered with part of the bumper structure. Looks like it may be possible to plug the harness...
I lucked out on the positioning of the middle LED on the Driver's side. Seems it lights the area perfectly. The Passenger side not so good. It shines inboard too much. I need to remove the Passenger door panel and adjust the angle of the light.
As I recall, you just unsnap the bottom plastic layer from the upper. Also need to release the latch-since the latch ears also hold the lower layer in place. The wire for the light is plugged into a white "dummy" piece. Remove the dummy piece and replace with the black lamp.
I plan to order the 879 you listed. But still somewhat unclear. Catalog lists 879 as
W/Auto Park
1500; Park Assist Module; Park Assist W/Stop Only
and 880 as
Park Sensor, W/O Auto Park
1500; Park Assist Module; Parallel/Perpendicular
Ithink Auto Park means the truck shifting into Park...
I bought a used 68271822AI module; per FM45's writeup (didn't realize until now it is specific to 2019). I have completed installation of only the rear so far. I chose Rear for VehConfig1-PTS Config: I now get the icon in my cluster but it says SERVICE under the icon. Wondering if it's the...
