Mopar’s “Ram Airflow” Cold-Air Intake System For Ram 1500:

The S&B looks like a nice option but other then switching from a flat filter to a round one is it really letting that much more air in over the stock airbox? It is still using the OEM inlet tube into that sealed airbox correct? That is what has prevented me from getting something like the S&B...

FINALLY INSTALLED! 2019 BIGHORN w/ Readylift 3.5" Kit with Bilstein 5100's front and 5160 Resi's in the rear.

So the 35x12.5/20's will rub on the UCA's but will they still rub with a 22" wheel? I am looking at 33x12.5/22's and want to be sure I can get them to clear the UCA's and have no rubbing without having to lift it any or as little as possible.

    33 x 12.5 on factory 22s

Thank you for posting this. I want to put the exact same tires on my truck. I have a 19 Laramie Sport with the standard coil spring suspension though. Is it safe to assume that they would clear on my truck also or is there a difference in ride height between the standard suspension trucks and...

    33x12.5 on rebel 18’s

The 33x12.50x18 K02's are listed as a 8.5" minimum width, are the OEM wheels really 8"? You may need to get a wider wheel if that is the case or you could look at something like a 285/65R18 that will work on a 8" wheel.

    33x12.5 on rebel 18’s

I am curious If I would be able to fit the 33x12.5x22 BFG K02's on the stock 22" Laramie Sport wheels with the non ORG coil spring suspension and OEM mud flaps. The OEM goodyears are a 32.1" OD with a 11.2" section width. The BFG's are actually a 32.5" OD and 12.5" section width on a 10" wide...

    Hemi beating Ecoboost???

The only time I can recall any kind of a peaky feeling was when I had the "Sport" mode turned on. It would accelerate pretty hard with the lightest touch of the throttle then. In normal driving it was pretty smooth in my experience as well. I had a crew cab FX4 with the 3.73 gears and it...

    Hemi beating Ecoboost???

If I recall correctly, I read an article that said the pentastar was designed with the intention of applying forced induction eventually but when in development they determined that it was not feasible. I don't remember exactly why they stopped, I want to say it was either economics or...

    Hemi beating Ecoboost???

My point was that the top engine offered in the Ram 1500, the one that may actually get used as a truck, (not including the TRX or Raptor in Ford's case) struggles to keep up with one of the lower tier engines offered by Ford. I realize the F150 is a much lighter truck and the power delivery...

    Hemi beating Ecoboost???

Least powerful engine in the f150 used to be the NA 3.3l V6 Smallest was always the 2.7L EB since it was introduced in 2015. For 2021, I don't believe they still offer the 3.3l NA v6 but I could be wrong because I have not paid much attention to the new truck. (I was wrong, the 3.3L is still...

    Hemi beating Ecoboost???

I have owned both a 2015 f150 with the 2.7l eb and now my 2019 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 and I find it interesting that we are discussing whether or not the largest most powerful engine (not counting TRX) available in the Ram 1500 can beat the smallest available engine available on the f150 in a...

Mopar’s “Ram Airflow” Cold-Air Intake System For Ram 1500:

I'm pretty sure all Nissan's with the CVT transmission have this. I have experienced this on Maxima's Altima's Pathfinder's and Rogue's. I also don't understand the combination of the CVT and Paddle shifters that they like to use, my current Altima has this and it is absolutely pointless.

    Lifter tick on cold start

My truck sounds exactly like that and has since i got it last May. I had it at the dealer and they looked at and told me it was normal. I didn't agree and talked to someone from the ram customer service about it who did nothing other than tell me to take it to the dealer which I had already...

A couple HP from a CAI alone is still a couple more than you will ever see from the PC alone.

Mopar’s “Ram Airflow” Cold-Air Intake System For Ram 1500:

I know all the PC talk is off the topic of the original post but I have never understood the hype. It is a potentiometer and a couple resistors in some fancy packaging with a marketing budget, nothing more. It adds no power, it only increases the voltage seen from a given throttle input. At...

    New software 20.04.19

Yes, I noticed the steering wheel heater doesn't get "Hot" anymore and the sound of the HK system has reverted back to the poor quality sound it had before the previous OTA. I really wish I hadn't accepted this OTA for that reason. It sounded great after the previous update, now after this...
