I took the family to Montana for Easter and a quick trip to Yellowstone (Park was closed, still nice there). I have to say, absolutely loved the ride quality and road noise was not an issue (wife approved). Someone mentioned this before, but it feels like it's stuck to the road more than before...
Turning off MDS is an overall improvement - interestingly to turn it off I just tapped the gear limiter down one while driving and then back to 8. It stayed on 8 for the remainder of the drive home and I tried to get it into MDS “eco” and couldn’t. I believe I had one more up to go to engage...
I will take it to the city tomorrow for another spin, there was some difference between the two modes for sure. Maybe go without MDS tomorrow and hear the difference. Should be fun to rip the throttle on this in the parking garage!
I was wondering if the Flowmaster FX would be a better route - but another $400 ish "crossing fingers", I don't know. Maybe if I can pawn the MBRP off and recoup a little then I can give it a try. After all, the hard work is now out of the way and can swap these direct fit mufflers pretty...
Just installed the MBRP - product is fine, but I must be getting old, can’t handle the cabin rumble. It’s just too much for me and I like a quiet cabin on long road trips. the MBRP sounds awesome, I really like it but as stated I’m going back to stock. 😔
made the purchase and got the 305/45/22 toyo OC ATIII’s installed. A little bigger (of course) but not significant. Heard a rub in normal height backing up and locked to left, will make some slight mods this weekend to fix. A tad louder than my Continental AT’s, not bad but I can hear the...
Haven’t looked into those tires but in my research the 45 to 50’s also change from an XL to LT. Thats a big change and may not be what you’re looking for with mostly highway driving.
I am getting 305/45/22 Toyo OC ATIII‘s tomorrow. Selling my 285/45/22 Continentals - I think this will be a...
This is a bold truck in Germany - I bet you're a bit of envy out there. My few friends out there all drive 3 or 4 cylinder diesel cars - don't recall seeing many trucks but it's been a few years since I've visited.
I was just in Doha for a little R&R and those folks there love them some trucks...
Tinted my front windows myself, ordered an MBRP muffler delete and should arrive this weekend. Next up - lift/level and some new shoes!
I'm tinkering with vinyl wrap, will delete some chrome.
Would you mind providing a few more pics? I'm going with the same setup and would like more visuals. The revel links on the rear wasn't something I was planning but I would like a little rake for the limited towing days I "need" it.
The Nitto Recon Grappler's aren't 3 peak snow rated vs the Toyo's are - someone can correct me if that's changed. I live in Washington State and drive to MT frequently, Ski/Snowboard so winter weather tire was something I'm looking for.
I have the TC AT's 285/45/22 on my 19' limited - they're a great tire, no complaints but I'm moving on to the Toyo ATIII's - either 305/45/22 or 35's. I'm trying to be practical about my decision which would lean towards the 305/45. I want a little more aggressive tire look and additional...
