Whenever a battery change happens it is VERY common for things like this to take several hours for the system to fully restore itself.

Back in my ecoDiesel days I dealt with them directly at their shop in Michigan on multiple visits. They are a very nice group of guys, and super accomodating. That said, they are BUSY, so at times they can be a bit slow to respond, especially via email, but end of the day I trusted them...

did you happen to check the fuses? I think they're in the underhood fusebox IIRC.

Totally fine in AUTO mode. My truck did not come with locking rear diff so I often use 4WD Auto when I need to aggressively get going from a stop. I'm at 130K and no issues.

Yes, because the filter is part of the pan itself. You can either replace with an OEM style or get a PPE pan with a replaceable filter. I did PPE because I'm hoping to keep this truck for lots of miles.

@dlakeman FYI, your insurance company would probably cover the incident...BUT they would very likely then drop you like a hot potato and you may be looking at High Risk insurance rates...if you can find it at all. You're smart to err on the side of caution.

This is one of those times where it pays to read a few of the posts before commenting :LOL:

As I believe 1BADRAM is alluding to above, make sure your mechanic knows the process for drain/fill...it requires careful temperature monitoring and leveling the transmission.

OP - if you plan to keep the truck, then yes, for sure do all the fluid changes. The tranny refill process is a bit tricky but certainly doable, the diffs and transfer case are super easy.

If I might offer an opinion on this...you may want to consider having a reputable transmission shop do the change, and here's why I say this. Dealerships are often not familiar with doing these fluid changes as they'll hide behind the "lifetime" fluid thing, so it's not part of their daily...
