    #2 CYL Misfire P0302 (Fixed)

Nothing worse than being 7 hours away from home with little tools and time constraints. Fortunately was able to make back home. Felt engine running rough and made it down the street about a mile before CEL came on. Always keep code reader in truck if anyone or myself need. Latched code P0302...

2025 ram 1500 likes dislikes and what can’t you wait for.

If consumers continue to pay these prices, then we understand why that price them this high. To each is their own. I just cant get on board with a 70k truck. This new engine is what intrigues me the most. That is prob why i would buy one if I was willing. My 2020 BH is paid off and will...

2019 ram 5.7 whining noise Engine or Transmission??

I just finished today. I used Timken Bearings. I purchased the kit from Rockauto. As it is late here now, I will post the individual part numbers. They all can be found at Autozone, as I cross referenced the part numbers, if need in a pinch.

    Carrier bearing

It doesnt change when turning. doesnt change pitch or go away. It starts slow and as i go faster; it gets louder. Then as I decelerate you can hear it easier as less road noise.

    Carrier bearing

Appreciate it. A friend down the road has a lift. I had given that thought. I figure I’d have more vibration if the Ujoints were acting up. It is coming from rear end. Mechanic will check out the axle shafts and bearing when he opens it up. I already had opened it up and found residual, but...

    Carrier bearing

Well, I have accepted something must be wrong with the pinion bearing. The inner takes most of the load so that is my guess. Could be more than one. Next week local trans and diff shop is going to replace all four bearings. Told him to let me see the bearings when he removes. Out the door for...

    Carrier bearing

I found today that mine isn’t look healthy. I’m going with an aftermarket bearing. I am hearing a whine noise that I originally thought was a wheel or diff bearing.

Check your rear diff fluid level

Open your fill plug. If it’s not coming out it’s too low. I’ll be opening mine up here after May 4 weekend. Im going to change pinion and carrier bearings. Part of me says go ahead and do wheel why I have it open. I should see the culprit(s).

Check your rear diff fluid level

Wish I had checked mine sooner. I’m having rear end noises and when I checked; less than 2 quarts. 3.21 Gear, 2020 1500 117k miles.

    Noisy Rear End

Well I think time has come that I replace my rear diff bearings. I’m at 117k miles and getting a whine noise. Replaced fluid as well. You end up doing the same?

    Rear axle grinding noise

Interesting. I’m at 115k miles and sounds like mine is gone now. 2020 3.21.

2019 ram 5.7 whining noise Engine or Transmission??

Seems like a pinion/carrier bearing. Might as well replace all 4. I will see which is the culprit here soon when I tear it down.
