The trick is to disengage the “nub” (bottom pic) that locks into the tab on the fascia (upper pic). Maybe try some wiggling and pulling away at the same time. I pulled HARD to get it to release. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No issue with engagement. Just the slack in between that allows metal to metal clunking.

Plugging in the phone before starting the engine always works for me when Carplay doesn't work. Most times though it is my iPhone that thinks I'm driving so when I press the I'm not driving button, it comes on.

Yes just stuck on. The Ram tailgate emblem is completely backed with 3M adhesive tape so it is a m-f-k-r to remove.

It is a big project since you have to remove part of the fender flares and wheel liner. Then removing the front fascia is a huge pain to get the retaining clips free.

Here are the instructions to remove the front grill. Seems easy enough until you get to "9. Release the fascia trim panels (1) from the fender and headlight and remove." This is a real PITA.
