on the penstar i worked on that was the solenoid on the oil pump for dual pressure. it can be replaced but i just threw on a new pump that comes with the solenoid.
3 ram's with a combined 295k actually is not that much. average less than 100k each. i've seen 265k on 1 ram with 5k oil changes and still climbing. over 95% of mechanics will tell you no more than 5k. oil is cheap insurance.

hay it is what it is, HUGE debate here on oil changes. as a former tech me many mechanics agree 5k on a oil change is the best practice. going forward i suggest changing it at 5k mi.
