Recently bought my 2019 Rebel used. After about a month of driving the check engine light came on. Its showing code P0A2D Drive Motor 'A' Temperature Sensor 'A' Circuit High.
I have tried for days to research this code and almost everything online comes back to either a Prius or a Toyota Hybrid. Has anyone else experienced this code and if so, what the heck is it.
We replaced the bearings in the e-torque generator after I bought the truck.

It is related to your eTorque. I would double check your sensor and make sure the connection is good. Unplug it and put the ignition to ON and take a voltage reading at the plug. Make sure you did not pinch any wires also.

Hope this helps.

Something happened internally to the MGU. I would take it apart and inspect it for any damaged wires/components.
There is no external connection to a sensor, all communications are via CAN-bus.

So after much investigation, found out that the code is in reference to the thermal protection of the hybrid battery pack behind the seat area. Mine the fans no longer come on which caused it to overheat and it is now dead. Everything else in the hybrid system tested good.
