This is for the 5.7L V8's and mine has the Pacbrake oil filter relocation kit. I can't say how much I love that thing. It makes oil changes so easy and quick. BUT what I did notice was this very weird humming/buzzing sound from somewhere under the hood, generally after hard acceleration. Long story short, it "appears" to be coming from the remote oil filter (some others have posted as much on here). Did some research and someone suggested isolating the bracket for the unit from the frame. I just changed my oil this past weekend and did exactly that. I placed silicone pads all along the back side of the bracket, put it back and voila! Seems to have eliminated the noise. Granted, it has been less than a week but if anything returns, I will edit this post.

This sound was driving me absolutely nuts and it was embarrassing, pulling into a parking lot somewhere and hearing this. I don't know how loud it was outside or even if it was audible but for me, I was so tempted to remove the relocation kit.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll be installing mine this spring.
Definitely put something between the bracket and the frame. And you're gonna love this thing, makes life so much easier and cleaner, LOL I also have the ValvoMax oil drain valve so I don't even raise the Rebel to do an oil change. No tools needed either. Near perfect!

Yeah I'll be ordering that as well before the install. I ran the same on my Grand Cherokee and was great!!

Well DAMN !! I have that noise ever since I put my PacBrake on and I thought the transmissions was going to fail. Have put off 3 trips - no codes or strange behavior so I havn't taken it into the shop. I will change my oil early and put some sound deadening material between frame and the bracket.

Keep us updated on continued findings. :)
