This is for the 5.7L V8's and mine has the Pacbrake oil filter relocation kit. I can't say how much I love that thing. It makes oil changes so easy and quick. BUT what I did notice was this very weird humming/buzzing sound from somewhere under the hood, generally after hard acceleration. Long story short, it "appears" to be coming from the remote oil filter (some others have posted as much on here). Did some research and someone suggested isolating the bracket for the unit from the frame. I just changed my oil this past weekend and did exactly that. I placed silicone pads all along the back side of the bracket, put it back and voila! Seems to have eliminated the noise. Granted, it has been less than a week but if anything returns, I will edit this post.
This sound was driving me absolutely nuts and it was embarrassing, pulling into a parking lot somewhere and hearing this. I don't know how loud it was outside or even if it was audible but for me, I was so tempted to remove the relocation kit.
