New Ram Owner (Ontario)

Hey everyone,


Just picked up a new-to-me 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie 5.7L HEMI eTorque with 65,000 km on it and figured it was time to join the forum.


This is actually my first Ram. I came from a 2020 Ford F-150 Lariat 3.5 EcoBoost that unfortunately got written off, so this truck wasn’t exactly planned — but I’ve got to say, I’m really impressed so far. The ride quality feels incredible and the V8 sound is something I definitely missed.


Looking forward to learning more about the eTorque system, long-term reliability, and any common things to watch for around this mileage. I’m in Ontario, Canada, so winter tips and rust prevention advice are always appreciated.

Welcome Canada. I have the same powertrain as you do. You will love the acceleration of your Ram but if I had a do over I would choose the regular Hemi. As for winter tips maybe you should advise us! Enjoy your Ram.

why would you take the regular hemi ? JW
