Picked up a 26 1500 Rebel on Wed and have been going through it. The one things that really annoys me is the tailgate fit. There is a wide gap on each side of the tailgate. So much so that you can clearly see through the gap and into the bed if you look at the right angle. The gap is pretty much the same on each side so I don't believe it is an alignment problem. Went back to the dealer today and looked at a few more on the lot and they all have the same problem which leads me to believe it is a design issue.
I plan on putting on a hard 3 section tonneau cover and I was hoping to get a really good seal to keep out the water (as much as possible). Looks like I am going to have to put on some kind of rubber or waterproof foam insulation strips to close up the gap. Not really happy about this. The fit and seal on my Tundra tailgate was way better than the RAM.
