I tried searching, but mostly get either NO RESULTS or results that have nothing to do with this phrase. I'm having issues with my key fobs not always being detected and gave up searching. I've changed the batteries multiple times. Sometimes, the fob is in my pants pocket and I have no issues. Other times, it's sitting in the console or I hold it near the push-to-start button and still get the "key fob not detected". Annoying! Lately, I'm also getting the tire sensors not being able to be read. One day it reads the passenger front only and other days I read them all. My truck has almost 80K on it and it is close to 6 years old, so it may be the sensors are old and it's time. BUT, before I spend the bucks to replace them all, I figured it may be the RF hub causing both issues. I have a water stain in the head liner - since I'm the driver, I never saw it until a friend did and pointed it out. So - here's my ask:
1. Where is the RF Hub? Back wall of the cab? behind the middle arm rest or underneath the seat?
2. If it got water damaged, would I be able to tell by looking at it? I've never seen any water in my truck, despite having a stain in the headliner.
3. Is there a part number for a new RF Hub for a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie?
4. Cost?
5. Is it a plug and play - disconnect the old and connect the new?
6. Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Thanks in advance,

On the back of the cab under the rear window. You may or may not be able to tell if there is water damage. It's not plug and play. Needs to be programmed to the VIN of your vehicle.

I have a pic on my computer showing the RF hub mounted to the rear wall that another member posted a couple years ago. I’ll post it when I get back to my computer later tonight.

Edit: Pic as promised.

You need to pull the rear seat, bolts have blue locktite, take the module apart and look for corrosion damage on the PCB.
It is not unheard of it just failing by it self.

Mine just quit. Nothing but not detected for proximity, but remote worked for all functions. Dealer couldn't get any response from it at all, so replaced and all is fine.

Thanks in advance,

Complex phrase searches or searches with words containing fewer than 3 characters don't work in almost any forum software.

Use a search engine with your phrase and site:5thgenrams.com added to get reliable results.
