Driving this morning and the automatic electronic breaking unavailable warning comes up on the dash. Restarted truck, no change. Twenty minutes of driving later and it turned off and all was normal. I get home and look at my windshield where the camera is located and see this? The glass is smooth, no chips, it almost looks like it's broken from the inside. There is a single chip looking thing in the camera area, and then that big huge one, not sure if that's where the rain sensor is maybe?

Glass is factory, I've got $100 deductible on glass, but are they going to throw a fit since it looks like the glass came apart on the inside? Also since it's not visible from the inside (not in field of view), might cause a denial. If it's gonna throw off my sensors though, it needs to be replaced. I never noticed this before but only had the truck 3 months, could have been there all along.

They won't care about how the glass is broken. They won't even look at it. They will just have you get it fixed. Since the DASM mounts to the windshield, there is a small chance that is what cracked it. The rain sensor is the small circle next to the crack. If it is because of the mount, it could have thrown it out of alignment and that's why you got the error. And maybe it moved back. All of that is speculation. But it won't have any issues getting the replaced via insurance.

If the DASM broke the glass from the inside, is it going to need to be replaced if a chunk of glass is glued to it? It looks like if you've ever tried unsuccessfully to remove a mirror from a junkyard car and the glued window mount pulls off and takes a chunk of glass with it. Not sure if there is glass adhesive or what, although I guess with any window replacement it would have to be removed from the old glass and stuck to the new one...

No, because the mount comes on the new windshield. Then the DASM is just transferred over. The mount for the mirror is also already installed on the windshield too.
