2026 big horn with 360 degree camera...

friend of mine was looking to order a 2026 big horn with the 360 degree camera.
HOWEVER it requires you to opt for the tow mirrors. so theory in mind is, couldn't my friend just swap out for regular mirrors that have the cameras integrated already?
that way the 360 degree camera system is already there from the factory instead of having to wire up everything from A to Z??
i know some of you fellas on here are pretty smart to figure this one out...

You might be able to, but the cameras won't look right because they will be out of calibration. The sides just might not look great.

could they take it to the dealership for recalibration or is that whole other can of worms?

That's a possibility. Most dealers won't do it, but sometimes you can find that one that will. It might be possible soon on your own using AlfaOBD. I know they are making good progress with adding factory items.

TBH, I wouldn't base the decision on if you can or not. I would base it on how important surround view is to him.
