Uneven UCA-to-Tire Clearance After 2” Lift — Will Aftermarket UCAs Help?

Just installed a 2-inch lift and I’m running 295/65/20 tires. No rubbing. I’m a bit concerned about the clearance between the tire and the stock UCA.

On the passenger side, I can fit about one finger between the tire and the UCA.
On the driver side, the gap is slightly smaller than a finger.

I have two questions:

1. Is it normal for the driver and passenger sides to have slightly different clearance?
2. I’m planning to upgrade to aftermarket UCAs. Will that help create more clearance, or could it actually make the gap smaller since aftermarket arms are usually beefier? Please correct me if I’m wrong.

I don’t want to use wheel spacers.
I want to upgrade the UCA mainly because of the lift and improved geometry, but I’m unsure whether it will solve the clearance issue. If aftermarket UCAs reduce clearance instead, I might have to consider new wheels.

you’re better off doing thin wheel spacers, they’re thin enough to provide the extra clearance while reserving all of the suspension characteristics and ride quality

Is it safe to run with spacers even with the very thin one?

strictly on road only and if you follow all the proper precautions (torquing them properly periodically) then yes.
if you go offroad then better getting proper offset wheels.

but you should've done UCA while you did your front suspension... you were there already.

Nonidsues with thinner spacers. Shoot, I have 1" rear and 3/4" in rear Bora spacers. I have no issues off roading my truck. Torqued properly, and if they are thick enough to use studs on the spacers, like mine, have a proper hub centric ring.

Yes I am replacing the OEM UCA also the rear coils too.
