2022 order

Hey All,
New to the forum, and like most, I am just desperate to get some kind of update on the new 2022’s.
The dealer hasn’t been able to give any useful updates since informing me my 2021 order would be a 2022.

I ordered a 2021 Sport back in March.
Since around the end of April it has been in D status with a VIN assigned. Back in July they called and said my 21 would now be a 22.
Anyone on here understand what the numbers in the ViN mean?? I’ll throw it out there if someone is able to help.
What a frustrating time to buy a new truck.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!!

Damn that sounds almost like my story...ordered a 21 Sport on March 24....wasn't told about the switch until August as there was a colour issue ...i had ordered the max steel but that wasn't available in the 22 and that was holding up my "re-order" but of course if i hadn't nagged my dealer to get me some updates i would probably still be waiting for a 21 lol....anyway had to pick the Granite Crystal and new vin came around the last week of August....so long story short i am in the same boat going on over 6 months wait ...my 21 was in D status and now my 22 sits in D status...hoping to change status soon....but you are correct this is the most frustrating time to buy a truck!
