Has anybody here done a hard reset on the computer (disconnect battery for 20 minutes)?

If yes, what was your results and experience?

Thanks.

Many, many people have done this either from dead batteries or on purpose. What results do you expect? One result you will get is the loss of a lot of functions while the system re-discovers everything attached to the BCM, one of them being the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) controls.

I've had my 2021 Laramie batt disconnected many times, often longer than 20 minutes. I will tend to disconnect the battery (negative lead only) any time I'm working on the truck. Lately, I spent several hours working behind the rear seats due to a water leak through the rear glass. I had the batt disconnected most of this time.

I've never had the truck act oddly after reconnecting the battery.

Lots of people have. And you don't need to have it disconnected longer than 5-10 seconds to accomplish this. Don't need to touch battery cables together. Don't need to turn the key(on key cylinder ignitions).
