Sadly, this is exactly what they’ve been reciting for two years. It’s nothing new.
At this point I have zero faith it will actually work with our trucks.

Remember they promised auto-park? There were even videos showing how the truck could self park parallel, nose in, or nose out. Just like SPAAK, it was an advertised feature and we paid for it (at least those of us who ordered early). This feature will never be available on our trucks. This has 100% been confirmed by FCA/Stellantis.

I got a notification for an update to the UConnect today after parking and turning off. The message read :R5T Release Notes - Improvements in this update: - System Notifications - Connectivity - Power Management. The update only took about 15-20 minutes (not the full 26 minutes stated. I e any changes to my Ram App, and tried to go through the Vehicle - Add Digital Key process w my phone plugged in, but still not available. Hopefully this is finally rolling out per the article.

What does the ventilate actually do. Is it the same as remote start?

Ventilate purely runs the cabin fan. It does not run heat or a/c since the engine is not running.

I think the idea is that you could “ventilate” the truck if it’s hot. My understanding is that it ventilates with fresh air, but someone else here may be able to correct me. It might be something you’d use if you’re planning to get in the truck soon, and you know it’ll be hotter inside the truck than it is outside.

Not based on any real knowledge, I think this is more about the App on our phones being updated than about an OTA update to the truck. They control data in our Apps based on VIN. This is how they makes vehicle reports available and enable specific functions based on your subscriptions. They used VINs to add the pairing tile to a select users (beta testers). So I’m just watching my App to see if/when the pairing tile shows up.

Agreed, and doing the same to keep an eye on the app and also for any other updates. I thought the previous info had the various updates on the system have already been completed - now it's just whenever they get through the testing and "flip the switch" on the VINs.

I have not ever received an OTA update for this truck. Can anyone confirm their version numbers on the truck software. I am also missing the proximity wake button in my settings so maybe I have something else going on. I have a tungsten so I know it should be there.

Version in the truck: FCA-MY24.U35.26-PROD
I’ve had one OTA update in my Tungsten, a few months ago. It did not change this version number.

Note that proximity wake up does not work for me. It didn’t work for many others, too. Some here have said there is a dealer update that will fix it. I have the options in the Settings, but it doesn’t matter whether it’s on or off.

I’ve had one OTA update in my Tungsten, a few months ago. It did not change this version number.

Note that proximity wake up does not work for me. It didn’t work for many others, too. Some here have said there is a dealer update that will fix it. I have the options in the Settings, but it doesn’t matter whether it’s on or off.

Mine has never worked even tho it is turned on in the settings. I have read that some end up with battery drain from it so I am ok without it.

Thanks for jogging my memory. The potential battery drain nightmare is why I didn’t bother going to dealer for this.
