I have a set of Westin's that are rusting out already on my 2020. Who makes a quality set that will last? Black not chrome.
I'm in Michigan and would love a set of nerf bars that don't rust within a year, to get black ones I might have to just go with the pricey Mopar ones.I have a set of Westin's that are rusting out already on my 2020. Who makes a quality set that will last? Black not chrome.
Do you know if these sliders would fit a crew cab with the 6’4 bed? I think the frame from the front of the truck to the right where the bed starts are the same. But I figured I’d reach out because you have a lot of knowledge with the ram!what i did:
white Knuckle Offroad Sliders, coated it with 3 coats of black Steel-it.
Reapply as needed, no need for additional sanding and prep work when reapplying.
Benefits:
Full steel structure, bolted to FRAME not to the body like all those steps. Offers outstanding protection.
Will not rust. Steel-It, when applied properly, the protective agent will be infused to the steel itself. That way, even if the black paint is rubbed off, the "exposed" steel will not rust.
Cons:
cost: $1200 for the sliders, $30/ can for the steel-it.
it should, since the cabs are the same.Do you know if these sliders would fit a crew cab with the 6’4 bed? I think the frame from the front of the truck to the right where the bed starts are the same. But I figured I’d reach out because you have a lot of knowledge with the ram!
Awesome thank you for the reply!it should, since the cabs are the same.
the only difference is probably just a little bit of shorter coverage on the bed side.
you can also give them a call or email them see if they can make you one for a long bed by extending the kick out area. i suggest calling, they are extremely easy to talk to.
