This is a psa for those with surround view in the 1500 and lost your surround view (all black around the truck) and lost your front and rear gridlines both static and dynamic. A cause of it may be similar or same as I had below, so first check any bcm/radio/cvpm changes you made that could be the cause.
Keep in mind my experience it did not happen right away to know there was an issue rather a month: I had discovered by enabling the off-road camera in the bcm config it had disabled the front camera and rear camera grid lines along with removing the cameras calibration.
All the cameras worked fine, reverse came on in reverse and selecting any of the sides and front by softkeys worked fine as well. At first I had dealt with it not knowing the reason to why I lost the surround view and gridlines due to the effects not taking place for a month after enabling as I liked the benefits of doing it which was to have a separate soft key for the front camera in all of the camera menus as well as when in reverse the soft key to switch to the front (like in the 4th gen 1500 & HD's with cargo camera/believe the same in 5th HD's too). It was when I went to recalibrate the cameras thinking that would resolve, I would get a mismatch error B223B fault code and figured I would go back in and turn back to "no" for the offroad camera, well instantly my camera calibration returned along with gridlines, nothing else was required to restore it. Problem solved.
So short story, if you have surround view your stuck with how it is and cannot tweak it at least with the offroad camera setting as stated above. I was ultimately trying to get the front camera dedicated soft keys throughout the menus and to turn on the camera automatically when parking as with other models to no avail at this point.
Note: may or may not make a difference, but my system has the trailer surround view, aux camera, blind spot, pedestrian braking, lane keep, parallel/perpendicular park assist and trailer steering so this combo may have something to do with it vs just one with only surround view, unlikely but worth mentioning.
