I have a simple 2019 RAM Big Horn 1500 Classic 2WD. I bought it in 2020 when the rental dealerships were dumping all their vehicles due to COVID and managed a terrific deal for a truck with 30k on it then.

I do some light local towing of a utility trailer maybe once or twice per year. But now I’m starting to feel every pothole and road bump. I had a slight rattle in the front end and just changed the sway bar bushings and links which eliminated the rattle but didn’t change the rough ride.

The truck is 99% OEM. No performance upgrades at all. It is not lifted and I’m using all season Michelin street tires here in Louisiana. I don’t go off road with it.

As I age I now want maximum ride comfort. I know it is a truck, but I still don’t want to be jostled at every dip in the road. I want smoothness.

Looking for recommendations for the softest ride, whether it be shocks and struts or something else. Most of what I’ve read here seems to be geared to high performance and off road suggestions, but I don’t want to bounce the grandbaby awake while traveling. Thanks in advance!

The Eibach Pro-Truck Stage 1 strut & shock replacements would be a great option to keep your comfort, get better handling, and they are inexpensive.

I believe the ride was softer before but I don’t remember when I started feeling the bumps? OEM is likely fine, but looking for guidance on what may be a better choice, perhaps less costly and lasting longer than what I have now.
