Draining the radiator

I have on a previous Mopar vehicle, but make sure you use ONLY MOPAR compatible coolant, otherwise mixing is not good. It will Gel up and cause all sorts of issues.

Anyone been using non-mopar coolant? The Mopar stuff is about 80 bucks a jug where I live, pretty expensive.
I have, as long as it's compatible

In the middle of draining and refilling my 2019 5.7 liter Ram. Process is very similar to the OP's Diesel. One item to note, you do need to have a spare drain plug handy. I loosened the plug, drained the coolant, but when I went to tighten the plug, it just kept spinning. I removed to find the spiral threads damaged/more or less gone. I assume the plastic was brittle and disintegrated when I attempted to tighten. Luckily I planned for this and knew my Auto Zone carried a replacement. Dorman part 61134. It doesn't have the hex center but can be installed by hand
Thanks! Found it - Amazon.com: Dorman 61134 Radiator Drain ****s Compatible with Select Models : Automotive
