Hi Everyone,

I'm seeing a bunch of conflicting information so thought I'd ask.

I have a 2024 Limited (Night Edition 22"s) and just bought a set of 18"s off a 2021 Laramie that I'm getting powder coated (matte bronze) and mounting winter tires on. I was going to purchase new TPS sensors per the threads I read saying that the ones from 2021 are different than the ones from 2024 but when I went to buy them, MOPAR shows they are the same part number (68293199AA) for both years... https://www.mymoparparts.com/oem-pa...1MDAmeT0yMDIxJnQ9bGFyYW1pZSZlPTUtN2wtdjgtZ2Fz

Am I good to keep the sensors that came with the 2021s and after the new tires in mounted, my truck computer should pick them up?

Thanks yall!

Drew

My understanding is that they are the same sensors for 2019 thru 2024. The fact that Mopar shows the same part number would lead me to believe that's true. It's been my experience that it can take 50 or 60 miles of driving before the truck recognizes new sensors, so if you try them don't give up too early assuming they aren't working.

Sounds good, appreciate the reply. Very strange that there's at least 2 threads stating the sensor frequency changed after 2021. My biggest fear is they were different from 2021 to 2022+ but the latest OEM part somehow works on both.

Do you have links to those threads? To be clear, I’m going on what I’ve read in other forums…and the fact that the part number is the same. My actual experience is with 2019, 2020 and 2021 models, and haven’t messed with anything newer.

The -199AA part number you listed is Mopar's standard TPMS replacement and should work correctly.

Any 433MHz TPMS should work.

I have aftermarket metal-stemmed TPMS from TPMSdirect.com installed and they only took about 5miles/5minutes to sync up with the '24 Laramie. I do notice that they seem to take just a bit longer to "restart"/read each time I first drive the truck in the morning..but read correct psi in about 1/8th mile.
