I have a 2025 bighorn 1500, 3.92 gears ,long bed ,four-wheel-drive. i’m towing a 29 foot travel trailer using a way safe middleweight hitch and air bags. The trailer weighs 6920 (loaded, ) pounds. I have 860 pound tongue weight which is 12.5% per the Cat scale. I am within my limits but looking for mods that will make towing more pleasurable.

You should be well within your limits with the gear package and setup. It sounds like you have it covered.

What mirror set up do you have? Maybe a trailer mounted reverse camera if you plan to travel a lot with it.

Make sure you swap out tires every 5-6 years no matter the miles. I have seen a lot of people who decide to take a highway trip and tires looks good but are old. They heat up and blow out. I have done it myself. From experience get you a larger jack or bottle jack for the camper that can lift the axle up.

Even if your rear axle load is fine, XL or higher rated tires aired up to around 50PSI will help stability and made towing less tiresome.

Definitely going to upgrade the tires when they wear out. Also was thinking about upgrading the sway bar to the Hellwig 1 inch.

I weighed the truck without the trailer hooked up and was 100 pounds heavier on the front end. Would 100 pounds make a difference or should I adjust my hitch to compensate?

I highly recommend the rear observation camera as mentioned above. It's another tool to help combat the fools on the road...
Would love to hear more about these…. Especially if there is a wireless option, I tow multiple trailers and this would be beneficial!

Edit: I have checked out visionworks, and while they are wireless I will not be mounting a separate screen

I have an older version of this.
Camera is mounted on the back of my travel trailer. The camera plugs into the Furrion Pre-Wired Mount on the RV.
The monitor has a suction cup option to mount on the windshield.
You don't have to permanently mount the monitor on your dashboard.
Where you pull multiple trailers I'm not sure it would work well for you...
Sorry, it's a long link.
Hope I don't get into trouble for posting it...
