Have a v6 penstar ram bighorn crew cab. Is lifting it 2-3” with bigger tires going to stress the engine too much? Stupid question I know since jeeps do it.

Anyone have photos of theirs? Just tinkering with the idea.

3.5” RC lift with 35x12.50 bfg ko2s. Gas mileage not great, little loss of power, but the banks pedal monster helps off the line. I like the look so I think it worth it.

I agree with you, considering all the lifted with 37"- 40" tires I see on Wranglers and Gladiators with the Pentastar, I don't see why not. So many with giant tires, winches, roof tents and other doodads while off-roading on that 3.6L.

Stock for stock, they weigh a little less, but not that much less than a RAM 1500 4x4 short bed, especially compared to the Gladiator Rubicon, just a few hundred pounds difference.

Gear ratio would play a part in this, when I purchased the truck with 3.21's I understood that larger tires would pretty much be out of the question.

i did 2.1 ready lfit 3.5' lift kit (worth the extra money for better lift even if you dont offroad) gas mileage dropped from 19 to 14 :( but hey the smiles per gallon went up !

35" mickey thompson with fuel rims.

just up maintenance intervals, oil, diffs, tranny flushes, plugs, cooolant changes etc. and you wil be happy!

this looks real good. i got the short bed. did u just bolt on the kit or did u make other changes also like swapping to bilts or any other shock? ino RC kit has the shock upgrade option my ready lift is all pucks. wondering if i just throw these in there on oem shocks.

op wat did u end up doing?

The RC lift I did swapped the strut/spring and upper control arms in the front and I did Motofab 2” spring spacers along with RC shocks in the rear. All completely bolt in in a matter of a few hours.
