I'm being quoted anywhere from $1300 - 1500 for front & rear pads/rotor replacement on my 2019 Ram 1500 (new style). Is this about average or way overboard?
Please also keep in mind that I'm in the north NJ metro area so that would skew prices higher than in other places. These prices are from local shops near me not the stealerships (they have "deals" and coupons but for some reason (ha) anything done there always works out to be even more $$$)

I've always done my own brakes but I'm laid up with an injury and they need to be done - Wife is also driving it now so I want to make sure it's dealt with asap. Just don't want to get (overly) screwed. Thanks.

No clue what it costs to have it done somewhere, parts at NAPA will be around $450-$500. If you search around you may be able to find them cheaper. Maybe Ask a friend if they want to make a few bucks?

Are you including rotors in that cost from NAPA? You can just get pads for under $200.

Here’s a total from Napa, with 20% off coupon that you can always get.

I wasn't questioning your total, I was questioning what parts you used to get it. It says 6 items, so yeah you put 4 rotors in there plus the brake sets.

You might want to try Rock Auto - they seem to be a whole lot cheaper.

see if you can have the rotors turned instead of replacing. NAPA will turn them for like $30 each. That will save you about $250 over buying decent rotors.

How many miles on the truck, I’d bet it doesn’t even need rotors.

i got these from rock auto for my RAM. they are a European company and HIGH quality, believe it of not the EU actually has better requirements. i am very happy with them. i have had junk rotors in the past and nice Brembo's. the brand name is Top Notch it's hard to find on google in the USA because they are euro i also got a set for the wifes town and country.
not all rotors are created equal. cheap are just that cheap! quality rotors are actually balanced and coated to prevent rust.
