Hi guys

I am based in Australia and trying to buy a new frame for a 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie . I have spoken to over 10 dealerships both in the U.S and in Canada and they are all saying the same thing “we are not allowed to ship internationally “ . Not sure if this is an excuse to silence me or if there is a legitimate reason for this ?
Either way I am trying to purchase through a dealer and then I will arrange for a shipping agent to collect and ship direct to me.

Didn’t think it would be this hard ?
You’re probably wondering why I am not buying parts from Australia ? Well that would be because the parts are so heavily inflated over here it’s not feasible to entertain buying them . Just as an example 2019 Ram 1500 DS steering rack in Australia will set you back $10,000AUD . 2023 Ram 2500 PCM will cost you $18,000AUD

So you see why it’s not worth buying from Australia.

If anyone can help me out I would be very grateful.

IMO the tariffs are the issue

I would try ram wrecking yards. "ram truck wrecking yards in usa"

even without frame damage many insurance companies are totaling a lot of vehicles.

stop it man, we don't have tariffs with aussie's.
shipping a frame is kind of a big ask....if you can even get 1 ya can't even get a MGU. bent frame = totaled in the usa.

"The US has imposed a 10 per cent baseline tariff on most imported goods, effective 9 April 2025"
That is on imports to the US. This frame would be an export to Australia, no US tax.

Australia does have its own import duties. GST, and fees. Not sure where used auto parts would fit in the fee structure. Then also currency conversion costs.

But for sure, US tariffs have no impact on an export.
