key fob not needed, anyone can steal your truck!

This is one of the selling points for Pedal commander: Even with your own keys or keyfob, Pedal Commander®'s anti-theft makes it impossible for anyone to steal your vehicle. It just takes one tap on your smartphone to activate the Pedal Commander® anti-theft! By initiating the anti-theft from the Pedal Commander® app, you can lock the gas pedal completely whenever you want. It prevents anyone to start our vehicle or drive off with it--only you can turn off the mode and get the throttle pedal working again.

You can of course use a battery cutoff or fuel line cutoff but I think the pedal commander app works the best.
Or just unplug the pedal commander

Specifically.
Did you turn off the truck and restart it in the store parking lot?
Yes. I shut it off and I walked away from it, then I couldn't lock the door because the fob was not on myself. I went to the truck, it's not on the seat or floor. So I tried to start it again and it started normally (without the FOB). So I returned home in the event I got stuck without the Fob.

I must be missing something because regardless of how I start my vehicle, the moment I leave it says key fob not located and no one can drive it away even if running.

I have a friend with a similar truck, started mine got out and tossed the keys in the house, he jumped in and he couldnt take it out of park. Dash says no fob detected or whatever it says.

Maybe Im missing something.....

Are you sure there wasnt a second fob in the truck? That would explain both being able to start it and not being able to lock it?
