Recently purchased a 2025 1500 4x4. Just called big Ram in the sky, and was informed that they don't even print an owner's manual for the 2025. You must go to the Mopar site and print the pdf yourself. (About 400 pages at about 10 cents a page = about $40)
Now some folks will say just look it up on your smart phone. Shockingly, the forest land I work in doesn't have phone/internet signal. And as it stands now, I have no written documentation that tells me how engage my 4 wheel drive. Lord help us when my new hand has to drive it in the woods. I hope the tow truck is a 4x4 for the warranty work.
A $65,000 truck with no operator's manual... sad.

There should have been a quick guide at least? Either way, you can actually get the giant hard copy manual for free. Sign into your My Mopar account, you may need to create an account and can request a real paper copy delivered to you house.

As for the PDF manual, just download it when you have internet access, you can keep it on your phone and computer at home and access it without internet connection. Prefer this version anyways since you can always do a search and find your questions easier than a paper version. But trust me, I understand the wanting of a paper manual, it also has its positives.

Here is a thread with the link you can download your PDF version: 2025 Owner Manual Posted Online

I know this info isn't going to help being stuck in the woods without documentation, but for next time going forward.

This is the kind of thing you should know before going out into the wild

So I just bought a 2025 RAM and no owners manual. If I go where mentioned above, my only choice after requesting a printed copy is to pay $50.

Sucks to hear that, it looks like inflation is caught up to freaking owner's manuals!

Or to be more accurate, the current corporate mantra of charging more while giving less.

That is not true. They do have printed manuals. These came with my truck and were in a pouch.IMG_1595.jpeg

Those are the little booklets, the big manual that is so big & heavy you can use to defend your house from an intruder isn't included unless you contact Mopar directly. In the past, you got it for free, but apparently you have to pay now.

Though based on what the OP stated, he didn't even get these quick start booklets?

Quick start booklets are really all a guy needs hard copies of. The full owners manual is 70% worthless information related to common sense stuff that they print only for liability reasons.

True, but as you say, that 30% left are some in-depth & useful stuff in the big manual not in the quick start, but agree I prefer a PDF which I can easily search instead of riffing through a paper version, but that could be an issue if the OP doesn't always have a connection.

Either way, for what the OP paid for his truck, there should be a free full size paper manual. You could get one delivered for free in the past, but seems not anymore? Fitting in a new corporate world where consumers pay more and get less.

This is another one of those "I should have thought of this before getting myself into a situation, but I'll blame others and join a forum just to complain then never come back" threads. (Referring to the original poster that started the thread, no one else.)

I agree, it should be available for free upon request, but in this digital age, expecting everything to be on paper still is a bit backwards. I hear it all the time in the IT world, "its always been this way, why would we change it?" That is not a justification for keeping things the same.

And also... how do you not know how to push 4x4 buttons? Maybe he was referring to 4x4 low range, but even then, if you try to do that improperly, the gauge cluster screen tells you what you need to do.

I agree with you. I had a fuse problem. They don't even give you a fuse diagram, let alone provide anything on where the fuses are located. Total BS, especially when your on the road.

And if you request one, they want $60. This is a real reason to look elsewhere when shopping because it's an indication of how they are cutting cost at the expense of the customer

Not having a printed manual is a positive thing. If you're into wilderness, long distance travel, or frequently find yourself in a place where you need to look things up, have the manual downloaded to your smartphone or tablet. Search functionality lets you find information quickly and the ability to update the manual means you can always get the latest information.

Also, there are many YouTube videos covering most important truck operations. Learn the basics before you venture out.

Cool, I hope your device didn't get lost, broken, or run out of battery and your truck won't provide power to your device. Hard to do those things with a paper manual that always sits in the glove box.

Have you ever done off-roading or overlanding or been anywhere remote? What you speak of is not a problem for a person who can think a few steps ahead. If you don't know how to put your car in 4WD or perform essential operations, going to remote places isn't for you.

maybe he has but most likely he's old school like it's 1989.
i did the SoCal- Alaska - Tuktoyaktuk - Banff - Glacier - Yellowstone - Grand Teton - SoCal solo last year. one driver, one truck, no manuel (printed or digital).
not ONCE did I need the manual... let me just say that... if you don't have basic knowledge of how things work BEFORE you set off for somewhere remote, you will not be able to fix whatever issues that you encounter in the field. Most of the things are basic knowledge that should be a no brainer.

oil used? it's on the cap.
coolant? buy the Mopar one. Auto parts store should be able to get you exactly what you need.
gear and trans oil? bro, are you really changing gear oil in the middle of nowhere? what is this, youtube field maintenance series? If you're leaking gear oil and trans oil in the field, you have bigger problem to worry about than the fluids leaving the truck.
maintenance interval? again, are you really doing maintenance in the field?
dashboard lights? that should be basic knowledge... unless you've been driving Teslas and this is your first gas/ diesel truck, you should know what each dashboard lights means.
engaging/ disengaging 4wd? if you don't know how, Youtube and practice at home before setting off. It is diabolical to NOT know how to use 4WD and then go get yourself off pavement and then sit there on the trail trying to figure out how to.
fuse size? it is printed on the fuse box cover.
fuse box locations? they are exactly where majority of other vehicles' fuse boxes are and they are impossible to miss.

even then... it's 2025, at the very very least there should be a Noco jumper (they are on sale for Prime Day now), a power bank for phone and tablets in the trucks. dead battery in the middle of nowhere? jump it. if it's electrical gremlin then it is NOT something you can do in the field. better get a tow truck and get it to a shop because if you know how to do things you will not need a manual.

(Sorry Stuart the "You" here is not referring to you specifically lol. i don't want to use "if ONE..." it makes it sound like I'm writing a college essay :ROFLMAO: )
