2020 Ram 2500 Bighorn Crew Cab 6.4L Heavy Duty V8 Hemi 3.73 Axle Ratio. Towing Capacity 14,000 lb.
Travel Trailer in Question, Bumper Pull, GVWR 10,700, Dry Weight 6,831 lb. Hitch Weight 764 lb. With all the
Dry Weight + Hitch Weight + Stuff in trailer 500 lb. +/- = 8,095 lb. so significantly under GVWR. We plan to climb
passes to 11,300ft (Colo thin air). That leaves wiggle room for those tall passes. I will be watching the trans temp
at 8,000 ft (Cerro Pass) Montrose to Gunnison. What's the feedback on needing a transmission cooler, yea or Nea!
thx. Of course, using tow/haul mode, Pete

This forum is mainly for 1500s. You can try Ram Heavy Duty Forum but I haven't really seen people messing with transmission coolers for the 1500 or 2500 when running the ZF 8 speed.
