Hello all! I have fuel sitting right below the flap where the nozzle goes. Not sure why it’s not draining down as I have about 2/3 of a tank. Is this a warranty issue? I’ve driven 300kms and it hasn’t budged.

I just bought a 2021 1500 Rebel.

If you search, you will find this can be common issue. They redesigned the tube to fix this, but I'm not sure the year it started. It has to do with overfilling and the vent tube filling with fuel. You can also remove the tube and drain the excess fuel.

There is a second seal further down the neck that traps some fuel in there if you pull the nozzle out to let it drain the lat drops of fuel. I actually ran into this last week when trying to add in some fuel conditioner. I used a really long screwdriver to push the second flap and drain the fuel.

Surely I don’t have to do this everytime though.

No, there's nothing to do here. That tiny amount of trapped fuel is normal and quite irrelevent.

Didn't your truck come with the extended funnel under passenger seat for this?

Hey all! So it was all my fault. I must have pulled the nozzle out a bit when I was getting the last bit of fuel out of the line and it can trapped in there. I went to the gas station and put the nozzle in and it worked. It drained the fuel that was stuck up top there. Thank you all for the help regarding this issue.

Not sure exactly what page it is in the manual….here’s a snippet of the online one.
