Hey everyone!

I’ve been doing a ton of research on this but haven’t been able to find a clear answer. I did come across some info, but I want to make sure I’ve got all my ducks in a row before I go further.

So far, I have the forward-facing camera in the windshield, along with Forward Collision Warning and Active Lane Assist. I recently installed the steering wheel with the adaptive cruise buttons and programmed it using AlphaOBD.

However, after turning the truck on, I’m getting a bunch of error messages:

• Cruise Control Disabled

• Adaptive Cruise Control Disabled

• Collision Warning Disabled

• And a couple of others.

I’m just trying to figure out what else I actually need to get adaptive cruise working properly. It feels like I should be close, but clearly something’s missing. Any help or guidance would be seriously appreciated!

First, did you follow the large how to on here that covers everything you need to know? And if so, why didn't you post in there? You'd get more eyes on it.

Second, you didn't provide the year of your truck.

Third, did you replace the HCU/ABS? I didn't see that mentioned. If not, that's your problem.

I think I have checked out the form you’re talking about. I saw that you needed to replace the ABS module and the HCU but when I research both part numbers, they both look the same. I have a 2021 ram 1500 bighorn.

You 100% need to replace it. The only vehicle that doesn't need it replaced is a TRX.

Yeah, I’ve been searching for it online. I can’t find a single combo. Unless I order directly from mopar.

I've not seen it sold as a combo. Most of us have ordered it as separate units. I believe you can use one if them used, but don't quote me on that. You can look in the how to thread to see.

Well, to stay on the safe side I may just take both part numbers and order them separately. Did you get yours from mopar?
