A few days ago I went to use my app to remote start the truck and it showed busy updating. Today I looked again and the only function it has is ventilation on. Lock, unlock and start are no longer options. Anyone else having this issue?

Mine is the same as it has been.

Any chance the trial period expired?

If my memory works the app service is/was $10 a month

Yep…
Over the winter, they emailed me some stupid low price of a few bucks for “Winter Warm Up”, I think it was less than $20 for like 4-5 months.
It’s worth a few bucks a month to me, but $18? I thought it was $15…and that wasn’t worth it either.

just checked and it is $17.99 a month

Depends on the services subscribed.

For my HD, I was offered $5/mo just for remote start and GPS location (paid $60/yr). It' shows health report, fuel, tire pressure, lock/unlock, remote start, and horn. It does not have theft alerting*. Was advertised as a limited offer, but the renewal notice came last month and it's still $60/yr so I let it ride. That's all I need and well worth the $5/month, particularly since I use the Alexa skill to lock the doors nightly just in case I didn't, and can voice remote start it if desired. Remote start from the app while at the lake in the summer was the big impetus. Having the truck cool when the wife gets to it after walking from the launch to the parking in 105° scores big points. I also adjusted the cool/heat trigger threshold temps using AlfaOBD FWIW.

* I can ask Alexa where my truck is and it knows, so I could probably setup some integration with my HA solution to alert me if it moves and my phone is not in the same area, but I'm probably to dumb to figure out that rule logic in Hubitat's Rule Machine.

$5/mo would be the absolute most I’d consider for this functionality. Tesla charges $10/mo or $100/yr for their premium connectivity, and you get a ton of bang for the buck.

I'd say your free trial subscription expired. I too have the $60/yr plan for lock/unlock, remote start, and vehicle tracking. My issue is the remote start does not work. I can select it in the app, and it will come back saying the truck was started, but it never actually starts. Tracking works as intended. Have not tried to lock/unlock function. May have to do that.

how was I to know this?

can't read minds, like you
please delete

Because he didn't reply/quote YOU. He replied to the thread. That implies he's responding to the OP original question which did not indicate what OS.

This is what you do. Come into a thread making comments, then get it all twisted up, then play the crybully when you're corrected and start deleting your posts.

never heard of this rule" That implies he's responding to the OP original question which did not indicate what OS."
implies almost like assume

i read what is posted when a post is under my post it looks like it is directed at me
deleting the post is the best way of me saying i made a mistake

you seem to be the one who continues this, I deleted my post and I asked for you to do the same instead you make more out of it.

as a owner/moderator you fan the flames a lot imo

It's not a rule. It's just application of brain cells that led everyone else to understand what was happening.

My post didn't address you in any way and my question made no sense as a response to you - because it wasn't directed to you. You seemed to realize that when you started with "I'm not sure why it matters".

Others would see that what I said didn't matter (with regard to you) and think "why did he ask him that? Oh! He was talking to the OP."

Also, I asked about the "app version #", not what you posted which was, apparently, what version of the Android OS you have.

This whole thread is about the RAM APP. I asked what version of the app he (the OP) was talking about.

I think other people figured that out, too.

Sorry if my post was confusing to you.

My post seems to have ruffled some feathers. I am currently using a Google Pixl 8 Pro. I don't know what the OS version is since I don't have it on me but, that shouldn't be relevant. The app was doing fine with everything and I was waiting for the "phone as a key feature" to come when my free trial ended. My opinion is some of those features should be standard on the app in the first place. I did pay for the vehicle after all.
