Help 2025 Ram Laramine

I bought a new 2025 Ram Laramine, thought it was going to be a great truck. With my business i hook up my trailer alot. I was getting codes about not detecting a trailer and then a trailer lit up on my dashboard. Took my truck to the Ram dealership, they did a fast code hookup with no appiintment. Couldnt fugure it out. Left me and then reappeared to tell me where i attach my light harness to the truck had water in it. I was told if it is raining, you have to unhook the wires. Then when it stops raining dry it off and attach. This is my 5th truck and first Ram. I will never buy another Ram truck

Why make statements like this? Sounds childish. You have a problem with your truck. Try to figure out what the problem is. If you choose never to buy a Ram again, I don't think anyone here will really care nor will the statement magically get you help.

The trailer plug for the RAM's are made such that the spline of the plug is at the bottom of the plug rather than at the top, so the pivot cover is on the top rather than the bottom which is the set-up my other Chevy uses. As a result, the plug has come loose on occasion on the RAM, and I believe this may be why you have a loose connection and water issues as well. I have resorted to using a piece of cardboard folded over to fill the gap between the spline and the plug, so that the cap fits snuggly and squarely with the plug, and I haven't had an issue since; even in the rain.

I am sure they told him tge same, because he didnt say a word about it there discussion, but the dealership is going to buy the Ram back. Sounds like you have a dealership problem. I would take it to another dealership and make an appointment to have it properly addressed. My point was, making statements like "I am never buying another Ram", just sounds like childish whining and doesn't do anyone any good. If your other 5 trucks were so great, why you driving a Ram to begin with? That's just a rhetorical question so no need to answer that either.
