Ram 1500 has a 26 Gal tank actually and the upgrade is 33 Gal for the Ram 1500. You can get the parts from Mopar also you need to buy the evaporator canister for the 33 Gal as it is different than the 26 gal version. Dealer will not sell you the upgrade as they do not want to take responsibility for the upgrade. My dealer which is in Canada nit US did the same, however they said they will install a new 33 gal tank is i provide the parts.

some did come with the 23 tank.

Good day all, I purchased my '22 1500 Lone Star just a few months ago and we did our first big towing vacation just last week. Truck is 4x4 5.7 etorque with 3.21 rear axle and a tiny little 23 gallon tank. My previous truck was a Ford F150 Lariat 5.0 with 36 gallon tank so it took some adjusting to filling up more often. Traveling out west we had a good headwind and hilly, my travel trailer is 6,000 lbs, payload was another 1,000 pounds tops. On our 500 mile trip to Big Bend we were averaging a miserable 7.5 mpg at 60-65 mph. Hence we had a serious problem with planning fuel stops...

Some RAM 1500 model with etorque comes with 23 gal fuel tank bit the non torque 5.7l has the 26 gal or the upgraded 33 gal. Easy to upgrade if desired make sure you get a new evap and the shields for the bigger tank,

I have a 33 gallon tank and can’t make it past 300 miles before filling up. I can only imagine what life would be like with a 23 or 26 gallon tank.
I wish they made a 50 gallon option

I feel your pain. The TRX also requires premium. $100/fillup, at least once a week, it gets old.
