After exhaustive research (and a refusal to go the route of Nitto Grapplers like everybody else hahaha) I went with Continental TerrainContact ATs in 275/50 22's. It's only been a day, but so far good. Will update as things progress. Lemme know what'cha think.

I'm also considering these when it comes time for tires. I had the HT version on my last truck but I want to get something more aggressive looking this time around. The do have a rim protector so they tire does stick out past the rim, I wouldn't buy anything without a rim protector if I had the 22" wheels.

Any first impressions on road noise and ride quality? Would appreciate an update after you've had some time on the freeway, etc. I've been pretty set on these as my next set of winter tires and will be deciding soon on when to purchase. I'm also curious about any effect on highway fuel mileage, but their weight would suggest not much impact, along with maybe not being the most durable off-road performer. I'm pretty OK with that compromise as most of my miles are on the freeway and my offroading is mostly limited to logging roads during hunting season.

I had a pair of Continental terrain contacts on my last truck, a 2010 1500 Laramie. I was very happy with them. They were quiet and worked well in poor conditions.

UPDATE: so after many miles driven, the tires are rolling smooth and quiet. I'm pretty sure the previous tires were the original Goodyear Eagle whatevers with 60K+ on them. The 275/50s do barely kiss my Husky flaps at full lock while in Aero mode, most notable while reversing out of a driveway or tight parking spot. That's the only rub I've been able to detect. To be fair, the Huskys are pretty big/wide, so its to be expected I suppose.

Speaking of Aero, I'm getting approx. 17 mpg while in Aero with mixed driving and 40 cold psi. When I first got the tires, my MPG dropped to like 15mpg and I was like WTF! Turns out the tire shop set the pressure to 35 cold psi. So keep those numbers in mind when considering what your MPGs could look like. Suspension height and tire pressure make a HUGE difference obviously.

I'm also noticing a 2 mph slower reading in my speedo from what waze gps speed says. Not that anybody cares about that.... I know I dont hahaha

I had 285/45 R22 Pirellis (stock) and just bought new Michelin defenders LTX ms2 in 305/45 R22 (original rims). I like how they stick out pass the rim 1", I don't have to be careful anymore when parking or going through some tight spaces with curb sticking out. I am running same 36PSI pressure but i think i should increase is a bit to help with fuel economy. Not sure about that yet since i did only like 100 miles on the new tires.

I do like the looks of these! I had BFG KO2 on my last ram. Loved them, but they were definitely ATs, and had a rougher ride and had some noise with them. With this new ram ive for the all seasons and what a nice ride. Id like to go back with something a little more aggressive, but really don't want to shed the nice ride

If they made these Continentals in 305/45R22 they would be on my truck already and I'm not even due for tires. It's a shame that 22" wheels have such limited options without going to LT tires.

Agree w Gunner - I woulda gone 305s - they would add a little extra beef visually. Im happy w the 275/50/22 I just had put on last week the extra 1.2 inches width would be visually more impactful for sure

Feedback on the continentals, I had them in the stock 285/45-22’s, and will say was not pleased with them overall… I rotate at every oil change, and monitor air pressure (not just on the screen, with an actual gauge), and I put on a lot of highway miles, and also tow a wake boat (not light)

They have a great look for sure…. And was a big step up from the stock Goodyears…. When new they were impressive in snow/ice on the highways….

But they wore faster than I had expected for a tire with its ratings… 60k tread life warranty, and after 42k here is what i ended up with… the shop I bought them from said it was overinflation, which it was not, but gave up and ended up throwing some Michelin LTX’s on at another shop….

My experience on tire warranties is they are not worth the paper they are written on but thats another story…

Alignment was checked when they were installed (they were $2200 for the set Canadian dollars) so I wanted to be sure I was not going to have issues based on that…. Crappy tires? I struggle with that because when they had tread I felt they were excellent, they just did not last….

Would I buy them again…. Not at that price….
