Hello, I just replaced my low beam headlight bulb on my 2019 Ram 1500. What a pain. At one point I looked at the drivers side and noticed it had a rectangular fixture that sits in front of the bulb. Am I missing this part on the passenger side or is this something only for the drivers side? What the heck is it? Pics below. Thanks!!IMG_1916.jpegIMG_1915.jpeg

Looks like the deflector broke off. Is it bouncing around somewhere in the bottom of the housing? Halogen (and a lot of LED) bulbs aren't meant to shine directly out, they shine out the sides that is then projected from the surrounding housing. See the black "cap" painted on your bulb? That's meant to keep light from shining directly out.

Thanks for the info. The part is gone and I can’t find a replacement by the name of deflector anywhere.
