I have to get new tires soon and was thinking of downsizing my wheels and tires down to an 18". I am currently running 285/55/22 on a 22x10 -13 Fuel rebel with a BDS 6in lift. A few questions, if I downsize to an 18" wheel with a 35" tire will my ride be better? I do have the Fox 2.5 DSC coilovers and they work well but wondering if with a 18" wheel and more sidewall will the ride improve.

Second question, what size wheel will fit without scraping the brake caliper?

What offset works?

Thanks

A lot of people are running 18” methods with -18 offset with 0 issues

You can also check the gallery on custom offsets or other sites to see what people are running .

I noticed a large improvement going from 20 inch michelin defender back to stock 18 inch goodyear wrangler. Maybe it is part tire compound, maybe part wheel size, but it was almost night and day. Of course the good years are as streetable as streetable can get, nothing aggressive or even close to all terrain, designed for max comfort and mpg. So if you put 18 in all terrain on, well all bets are off.
