Hello, all. I just purchased a beautiful 2022 Ram 1500 Longhorn limited edition with the 5.7 hemi and absolutely love it. Besides the fact that it has MDS. That worries me, as most “eco” features ironically suck the life out of the vehicles. Besides running in tow/haul mode or in 8th gear all the time to avoid activating eco mode, is there ANY way to deactivate it via coding? Or any must do recommendations? I used to have a Benz and with a data link cable and a laptop I had someone remotely code the car to activate some cool things but also deactivate eco mode. Sorry if all these questions have been answered in other posts but I’m so new to this truck I’d rather just start here.

Welcome to the forum ! Great looking truck I have a Tazer in my truck but I don't think it can shut off the MDS.

no, a tune would be required.

I thought I either read or watched something about deactivating it, but I'm new here as well so my knowledge is minimal.
I'm sure ramhouston knows more than I do. I could've watched and heard what I wanted to hear which happens sometimes. 🤪
I typically save stuff like that so I'll check and see just in case...

Maybe it's just 2019 models that this works on? go to 2:10 ish and he does exactly what I thought I heard.
Correct me if I'm wrong I don't want to give out bad information.
