Well, 500 miles on the odometer, and the wife backed into imy 2025 Laramie and FUBAR’d my front bumper. Is what it is, I guess.
My local dealership can have a new bumper tomorrow and paint it on Monday. Here’s my dilemma…. I can install myself and save $700. More important than the money, I really don’t trust anyone else to take apart the truck if I don’t have to, including aligning the bumper right, not breaking tabs, not dirtying up the interior, etc. I have the facility and tools to do the work.
Along with the parking sensors and such, the 2025 has the big radar in the center for the adaptive cruise and collision avoidance. As long as I disconnect the battery first, there shouldn’t be any calibration that needs done with the swap, right? Any other landlines that would tip the scales towards just letting the dealer do the work?
