Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis Promises 25 New Products In Just 18 Months

Ram’s Bold New Era Begins June 8th Under Kuniskis’ Horsepower-Driven Leadership

Big changes are coming to Ram Trucks—and fast. In a bold statement posted to LinkedIn, Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis confirmed the brand will launch 25 new product announcements over the next 18 months, signaling a major shift for the truck-maker known best for its half-ton and Heavy Duty pickups.

I saw this posted somewhere else and every commenter immediately assumed it meant 25 new vehicles or trim levels of vehicles. I read it to mean everything from a mid-sized truck to the return of a HEMI, and a new type of battery chemistry for the REV and Ramcharger. I assume it almost has to be including major components as products in this case.

They should make sure the quality and reliability is right, and that when problems occur, the dealer network can properly diagnose the problem AND obtain replacement parts on a commercially reasonable schedule or this is marketing BS without real, substantive progress.

So true. My wife is driving a 2024 wagoneer and has a blind zone issue. We called the dealer and they were 6 weeks out for an appointment to get it it. The day arrived to take it for our appointment and when we got there we were told they need the vehicle for 12 business days for diagnosis and then they would order parts. Provided the parts aren’t on back order they could get them within a week. They would not give us a rental at all. I ended up leaving with our $800 a month lease without having them look at it. I can’t be with out a vehicle and paying my monthly car payment while expected to pay for a rental for what sounds like could be 3-4 weeks best case scenario. I’ll drive this thing until the lease is up and let them handle their problem on their time. Unless this gets resolved we won’t be leasing or buying stelantis products anymore.

Wonder if we'll get a midsize truck to slot under the 1500 since the Classic is gone

Should be interesting. After the last year or so they really need to shake things up and bring some excitement back. I’m hoping for some really cool stuff to get released with more options than ever before when ordering.

While we're dreaming, I'd like the rcsb to come back, with the current interior, with the 6.4 hemi available at a semi-reasonable price. After a year or two of them proving it isn't unreliable because of electrical problems like my '25 laramie is, I'd consider trading in my rcsb v8 f150 on one.

Dang, sounds like an RV dealer.

Well said. I have 2025 with the sst that was built in December of 2024, it has had a few things repaired already (currently has less than 800 miles on it) and there are still a handful of problems. The dealers I've been to don't seem to be very knowledgeable with these vehicles and also have wait times to look at them, wait times to get parts, etc. Once I drop the ram off at the dealer again and after 10 more days of it being out of service it will qualify for the lemon law here in my state, and I will start that process (I've already talked to an attorney so it should be pretty cut and dried it just will take time.) I would have dropped it off already but just bought a new truck and as soon as the new truck gets wrapped up (currently having some accessories installed) and I pick it up I can start the process of getting rid of this ram. To each their own, but I personally will never purchase another stellantis product again, just way too many things that scream complete lack of quality control/cheap/ and imo a company that just doesn't seem to care.

What truck did you go to. I’m holding onto my 20 for at least another year. It seems the GM products have issues as well. Tranny and lifters. It’s crazy how many issues these mfg’s have.

All manufacturers have issues, but what I cannot accept is when you do have a problem that’s covered by warranty that they can tell you no rental, over 2 weeks for diagnosis, then order parts(possibly not available due to shortages) mean while I’m stuck with a car payment but the car I’m leasing is sitting at a dealership indefinitely.

I agree too many problems with most manufacturers, but ram (at least the one I got) seems to be leading the pack in problems.

I just bought a 2025 chevy silverado rst. I have a 2015 silverado lt that is quieter on the inside (less road and wind noise) than the 2025 ram. When I test drove the 2025 chevy rst it was noticeably quieter than my 2015 chevy, so way quieter than the 2025 ram. There are also both a 2014 and a 2019 (silverados) in the immediate family which also both seem to have a lot less problems and be built much better than the ram. BUT, the 2015 chevy HAS had both the lifters and the tranny done, so you're not wrong about that :-) !!!! Although, finding chevy techs that know what they're doing and have been trained properly has never been an issue for me, in fact I know some good independents (certified) that can swap out lifters in their sleep, in fact a while back one threw a new cam in the 2015 along with the lifters for just a little extra cost. But, that all happened at about 120k+ miles which sits much better with me than these rams needing a bunch of stuff within the 1st 500 miles of driving off the lot. And, I've been to 3 different ram dealerships, all have wait times, all seem grumpy, rude, and confused, and act like they hate their jobs, AND all seem to really not like these trucks. So I can say, even if the ram I bought had very few or even zero problems, I would always worry about being able to find a qualified dealership to fix anything on it other than the super easy stuff (like oil changes.)

Skyhawk makes some excellent points, fortunatley my ram was a cash sale so I am not paying interest on financing so it has really just been a huge pain in the ***/time killer, but it has crossed my mind how much more I'd be bothered if I was paying interest on it, having to rent another vehicle while the dealerships scratch their heads with a finger in their nose, not really caring and apparently not needing to, ugh. I feel for anyone and everyone having to go through this and having trouble with their rams.

If lemon law is available to you do not hesitate. I speak from experience. I had a 2019 Audi Q8. Fully loaded problems started pretty quickly and I finally got disgusted and hired an attorney. Made several requests for them to buy it back. They refused,as soon as the attorney sent them a demand repair letter they folded like a sears sucker suit. It took about 10 months for the process to be completed. Throw in some Gov. Whitmer BS during Covid and forcing businesses to close and there you go 10-11 months. But I got every penny back including interest. Was a real PIA and hope I never have to deal with that again but you never know.
Good luck
