I have a 2019 Ram 1500 classic warlock v6. Had my oil changed and next thing you know major oil leak. The adapter is plastic and cracks and gets brittle 1400.00 fix not under recall. This is crazy I have 41k miles

I'd question the oil change technician rather than the housing. I've changed the oil on a few 3.6 V6 over the years and housing has never been an issue. The O ring in the filter housing completes the seal, no need to crank on it as some like to do with oil filters

just a suggestion, but if it's not a warranty repair, Dorman make a filter/cooler that is aluminum, instead of plastic, and so it is much more durable. It's considered an upgrade in the Jeep Pentastar world, as far as I know.........
