Such a nit-pick, but damn I have been annoyed by this since i got the truck in 20'. The drivers side lower vent blasts on my ankles when climate control is on auto. Middle of summer, blasts my ankles. Dead of winter, and of course on startup, the blower goes to max hurricane force winds blasting that cold air on my ankles. Ok, also less annoyed, but still irritating that the auto Climate control goes to lower vent only and doesn't mix it with the top vents. *sigh* I know, it's picky.

Anyone have the same gripe? I might see if I can 3d print something to redirect that duct or something.

Wait until your windshield starts fogging up on a humid morning.
As fancy as auto ac is, I much prefer the three knobs/sliders days.

Some days I miss the auto climate but I like my 3 knobs more. As far as ankles go it seems my right foot is always hot or cold and my left is comfortable.

Never had an issue when auto climate on mine. I keep it on auto at 68 to 72 all year long. It works like it should.

That is not normal operation. At least not with my truck.
Can you manually select the vents that you want the air to come out of?

I never noticed an issue but the wife complains about it. But then again I wear actual shoes and she wears Birkenstocks year round LOL.

Yep, I can set it manually.

@mikeru82 , yep, it's bad in the summer when I just have flip flops on or if I'm only wearing tennis shoes in the winter, blows right on my ankles.

Same herez never had any issues like this on my truck using Auto. I do notice it does switch to blowing on the feet, especially in winter, to maintain cabin temp, but with my temp controls set to same range as you, it's not a problem with too hot or too cold.

I think some people are so used to old school HVAC controls that they set temps to max hot or cold, and then think if they aren't being froze out in summer, or baked out in winter, their system isn't working properly

Yep, mine usually is between 69 and 72. I also have a 19', so wonder if there is a TSB to have the climate controls reprogrammed, I'll have to look. My Durango and my GrandC work just fine.
