uconnect upgrade

if i have the 8.4" uconnect without nav and travel link can you keep the current screen and add the radio module(attached image). or would you have to replace it all?

From what I understand you have to to upgrade to the 12 inch screen, reprogram bcm, and buy adapter harnesses. Mine u4 8.4 does not have all those connectors. I see on ebay these items sold. Personally I just want HD radio, hoping for the cheapest option someday. Does anyone know a quick easy oem swap?

Replace it all, the module is part of the radio, you still need the rest of the parts as @DRam74 said. You need conversion wiring, screen, bezels, USB hubs, and programming to the BCM.

To get HD radio you need to swap your radio module with one that has HD radio built in.
