Did you like the look of the 2019 rams at first?

Yes, immediately. Had to have one so much I traded my ‘10 3500 diesel with only 50,000 miles. It was my baby and I swore I would keep it forever!:giggle:

Guess I'm in the minority. I still like the bodywork on the DS (classic) better but I like the grilles better on the DT's. I didn't buy a DS because it didn't offer anywhere near the technology I wanted in a new vehicle. The DT easily took care of that.
I love this truck and wouldn't trade it for any other truck on the market. Would I make improvements? Absolutely, but I've gotten wise enough over the years to accept what's out there rather than looking for perfection.

As soon as I saw my BIL's sitting in my driveway on Thanksgiving Day, it was love at first sight...

I was not a fan at first. I was a little biased because I owned a 2016 and was in love with it, but once I saw the new Laramie in person I was hooked. Had a classic next to mine at the dealership and what a difference when you see them right next to each other. This truck looks (and is) light years ahead of the previous model.

I wasn't the biggest fan at first. The DT made my shortlist when I began my search but I was dead-set on a Ford Super Duty with the Powerstroke. I liked how beefy the SD looks. After hearing horror stories about clogged emissions equipment and bearing in mind that my commute is 5 miles I was swayed away since I could never complete a regen cycle. I started looking again and stumbled across an article on the Rebel 12. I have to admit the Ram looks so much better in person. You just lose sense of scale browsing through dealership pictures and Ram market material. I tried for a month to order a Rebel 12 but it was on restriction so I changed over to the Laramie in my signature because I'm in a hurry to get a truck before spring thaws out and ATV season starts.

Can't wait to get it in and throw the lift, wheels, tires and exhaust on. My garage is starting to fill up with goodies and the wife is getting antsy that she can't buy her ATV yet.

I loved the look, except the front grill / headlight surround area. It's grown on me somewhat. Definitely prefer the sport versus the chrome grill. I'm still not crazy about the area below the headlights (circled in the attached pic), looks kind of like an afterthought. As soon as I saw it, I thought 2 years before they do a front end refresh. And I know I am in the minority here, but I don't really like the look of the LED headlights that much.

I really didn't care for them too much at first, just seeing photos. I thought they looked like a GMC crossed with a Tacoma. When I saw some in person at the local dealer, they looked better. They finally had started to grow on me.

I still didn't think I would want to part with my 2013 2500 for one, but after sitting in some and test driving one, I finally had to order one.

I've always hated the look of Dodge/ Ram trucks. I was about to trade my Jeep in on another F150 ecoboost. My Jeep had been at the dealer for over a month and I went to check on it and decided to pull in the New truck section not knowing the Ram had a full redesign. As soon I looked at it I knew if my research checked out that it was my next truck. I went back to the dealer the day before Thanksgiving to pick my Jeep up because I had enough of dealing with it. Instead of picking up my Jeep I left with a 19 Rebel. I never even test drove it. I said that's the one I want let's see numbers.

The only thing it took a little time for me was the new front end. I have driven three 2500's prior to this, and I have really liked the Ram crosshair grill, especially my 2011 with the way it slanted back toward the bottom. It reminded me of the old 62 Chrysler 300. The new front seems much "softer" and in some ways reminded me of a cross between a Toyota and GMC. The Gen IV looked more truck like. With that said, I do really like it. I think an Addictive Desert Designs front bumper can take care of the "softer" looking front end.

As for the rest of the truck, it took about a millisecond for me to love it. I really liked the interior on my 2011 Laramie 2500, and the Gen V is way better yet.

I first saw the new Ram in person at the Dallas Auto Show. I liked the classic crosshair look, and it took me a sec to recognize the new truck as a Ram. I took some time looking over the truck closely, and I decided the new one looked more conservative, but still sharp, mature, and modern. To me, the only weak spot in the design was the rear fender curvature with the short bed. RamBoxes make this far less noticeable.

The black/saddle Longhorn interior was on hand, as was the Limited, and I thought the Longhorn interior and grille were outstanding. The wheels, too. I had been looking closely at the F-150 Limited, and the interior felt a little plain by comparison.

Test drives ultimately put the Ram ahead of the Ford and GMC.

Didn’t like it in pictures, it looked like a Toyota to me. When I finally seen one in person, I started to like it. Checked out the interior and drove a couple and was sold.

I was in search of a ‘18 year end to get a deal .... but then I saw the new ram fell in love with the inside and out . Had a few things wrong with my new truck but they are fixed now which I expected would have with a brand new platform as there always is. If I had to do it again I would.
