I don't own a 2025 yet, but wanted to know what you guys are seeing as far as MPG's with the new hurricane. And for you guys who switched from the hemi, are you seeing an improvement in miles per gallon average over your old hemi? The 17/24 for the Hurricane SO sounds impressive. Just wondering what you guys are seeing in real world driving.

Ok, I guess we should just have 1 giant thread for all things 2025. No need to categorize things into different threads to make it easier to discuss. Just one general thread for everything.

Yes.

Responses like yours are why forums are dying. I should go join one of those Ram Crapbook pages.
OR.... hear me out. They are dying due to people getting bored/tired of answering the same exact questions over and over and over again because people are too damn lazy to look and scroll on google or use the search bar to find the answer to their question themselves, that has already been answered. (and likely multiple times already) 🤷‍♂️ But yes what a jackahh and piece of shii user i am.... Also your welcome for finding and giving you the answer to your question, that i found with a search bar/google btw. Good day.

They are dying because people say go do a search instead initiating discussion. If you are tired of answering the same question, then don't respond or post. If everyone only did a search, there would never be any new posts. The current Ram has been out since 2019. Most every question about it has already been asked. We might as well pack it up and disable the new thread tool bar at this point.

That thread is not a mileage thread…

@RedFred , I am also interested in seeing how the new Hurricane owners are doing with efficiency…

Exactly. There are a few posts related to mileage mixed within 12 pages of posts on other stuff. I don't see the problem with a specific thread related to real world mileage numbers and having a discussion about it. But that's just me.

Highway mileage I get anywhere from 20-23mpg all depending on speed, hills and wind. I drive more highway then anything, but my last tank I did manage to drive mostly city and I averaged 15.8mpg hand calculated. That is with some remote starts as well.

I thought forums were for discussion?

No ones requiring you to reply to a thread that isn’t about you or the truck that you drive. People come here to have discussions and try to solve some of their issues with this community. If you’re gonna be a clown, maybe just hit the back button next time. What do I know tho?

MOVING ON… it’ll be cool to see what this new motor can do real world. I love my hemi, and I for one will need a little convincing yet!

How would you compare it to your old 2021 with the hemi? Do you think your mileage is improved over the hemi? Or too soon to tell?

Still avoiding. well if thats the case ill go off topic as well, if your worried or wondering about gas, dont drive a truck. Usually the folks that dont need trucks who worry about this.

I miss the hemi sound for sure, but the power on this is way beyond that hemi. It pulls hard!

Mileage is probably 1-2mpg better on the highway, but I think overall it's about the same with city driving. Best I ever got was 20-21 highway when I was stock at speeds of 75-80mph. I had the 3.21 gears on my previous Ram. I'm get about 20-22mpg on my new ram at those speeds right now on 3.92 gears.

I would say city driving is maybe 1 mpg better and highway 2-3 mpg better. That said my hemi had the 3.21 gears and this one has the 3.92 so that can affect it some. I did a 475 mile road trip and got 24 MPG which I think is really good for a full size truck.

You came back? I see you are still trying to ruin the thread. Kind of proves the point I made about you and something about forums. Once again, thanks for sharing.
