Hello all,

I have 2022 Ram and whenever I turn the windshield wipers on, all of the dash lights dim. Everything in the dash to include the infotainment center as well. At night it's not a bother but during the day, the dash lights dimming make them harder to see so I have to use the dimmer switch and turn on full brightness. Any ideas why this happens and how to stop it?

Thanks

That being said it is an option in the Uconnect system. I do leave it on but I did notice that the screens all dimmed a little more than I wanted them to. Over time I got used to it.

Some Fiat software guy wrote the code that way.
No stopping it.
Not having enough adjustment range is just about the only thing I do not like about my truck.

Like @Jake1050 said, it's an option in the Uconnect settings that you can turn on/off. But it's a good idea (and following the law) to have your lights on when it's raining. Nissan has a system where it'll dim your interior lights depending on lighting situations, and I swear that's the reason I see all the Nissans driving at night without their lights on. The accent lights are crazy bright and the interior lights dim automatically.

One of the things I dislike about my truck is my interior lights dimming in the day because my headlights turn on when using the wipers. Other manufacturers realize this, and keep the interior lights on in daylight mode, but not Stellantis.

I fix it by taking my light switch out of automatic mode and turn it off manually. Daytime running lights stay on, but my tail lights turn off, not exactly the safest thing to do in the rain. But I can turn this off in Unconnect, never thought of that, I'll take a look. But I guess I will still have the main issue, is the my dash dims too low when I turn on my lights?
