Tired of the cute little critters digging holes all over my yard, I have declared war. 😡 Dug out Dad's old live trap, baited it with a bit of peanut butter bread, and set it on the front porch. One the first evening, three so far today.

My pampered housecat just plays with them and lets them escape, so I'm relocating them to the other side of a river a few miles away. Any bets on how many I catch? I originally thought we had two or three, but they have already blown past that estimate.

Yeah, those little rodents suck. We had more hanging around than our cat could eat. There have been two strays showing up on my Ring cam after dark the last couple of months, and I just commented to my wife earlier this week that I can't remember the last time I saw a chipmunk. Feline teamwork for the win!

My Rat Terrier pup used to go ape $h!t for the small woodland critters. They were originally bred for rodents and mine was true to the breed lol.

We have tree rats (squirrels).

I am slowly reducing the population with finely placed pellet rifle shots.
Yeah, we have squirrels, too. Fox and Gray. But they don't destroy the lawn, so I don't mind them too much.

We have a problem with them too. The year before last I got 12 of them. Last year the neighbor got about 20 of them. So far this year I'm only seeing a few running around but they multiply quick! Probably should bust out the trap again or use the 5 gallon bucket method. I wouldn't mind them but they dig under my foundation and figure that cannot be good. They also chew up the neighbors pool equipment. Also have a couple tree rats that need to be handled cause they decided the wood on my house tastes good.

I've found a good solution for getting rid of chipmunks. I uncovered my swimming pool about 6 weeks ago, and have fished out at least 10 dead ones since. Plus a few mice. I knew this pool would pay for itself eventually.
